Terms of Service

Last updated: June 4, 2026

These terms govern your use of Claire ("the app"), an email client that connects to your Google account. By using Claire, you agree to them.

1. What Claire is

Claire is a client application that lets you read, organize, and send email through your own Google/Gmail account, and view your calendar. Claire is not a mail provider — your mail, account, and data remain governed by your agreement with Google.

2. Your account & responsibilities

You're responsible for keeping your Google credentials secure and for the activity in your account while using Claire. Use Claire only with accounts you're authorized to access, and don't use it for unlawful purposes, to send spam, or to abuse Google's services.

3. Privacy

Your data is handled as described in our Privacy Policy and the permissions on our Permissions page. We don't sell your data or use your email content to train AI.

4. AI features

Optional AI features generate summaries and briefings. AI output can be inaccurate or incomplete — treat it as a convenience, not a source of truth, and verify anything important against the original email.

5. Availability & changes

Claire is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We may update, change, or discontinue features. We'll post material changes to these terms on this page with an updated date.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Claire and its makers are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of the app. Claire depends on third-party services (Google, Cloudflare, and others) and is not responsible for their availability or actions.

7. Termination

You may stop using Claire and revoke its access at any time (see Data Deletion). We may suspend access that violates these terms or abuses connected services.
